Useful visitor rules for drones, beaches, wildlife and souvenirs.
Can you fly a drone or take a piece of coral home? Curaçao has its own rules. Check permission before doing something that may affect protected nature, other visitors or private property.
Arrange the required CCAA registration and approval and RAC admission documents before bringing and flying your drone. Approval does not remove flight restrictions. Check the permitted areas and conditions before each flight.
Leave beach finds in place. Coral and protected shells, including conch, are subject to export restrictions and may require CITES documents. A shop receipt does not replace a permit. Check with Curaçao Customs before buying wildlife souvenirs.
Follow posted rules on barbecues, smoking, music and access. Permission to enter a beach does not automatically include private facilities. Around reefs and turtles, keep your distance: do not stand on coral or touch, chase or feed wildlife.
