Which restaurant?

Trying a particular cuisine

Start with the menu and compare the restaurants that serve the kind of food you want.

A special evening together

Consider the setting, menu and reservation arrangements, and discuss any seating preference in advance.

Lunch during a day out

Choose a restaurant along your route and check that its lunch service fits your schedule.

Which restaurant suits what you want to eat?

Kome in Pietermaai serves modern Caribbean cuisine with international influences. Brakkeput Mei Mei focuses on meat and fish from the charcoal grill, on the terrace of a historic country house. Gouverneur de Rouville in Otrobanda combines local and international dishes. Start with the menu: choose a few dishes you would enjoy, then compare location and price. That gives you a more useful shortlist than choosing by appearance alone.

Where can you dine by the sea or with a view?

Fort Nassau sits high above the harbour, with views across Willemstad. The Pen at Avila Beach Hotel is beside the beach, while Baoase Culinary Beach Restaurant offers fine dining in a beachfront setting. For a special evening, consider both the food and the setting. If a particular terrace or table matters to you, request it when reserving and ask the restaurant to confirm what is possible.

Where can you try traditional Curaçaoan food?

Jaanchie’s in Westpunt serves local dishes and seafood. Plasa Bieu, also called Marshe Bieu, is a food hall in Punda where you can have a local lunch. Choose a place that fits your route and ask which dishes are available that day. Our local food guide explains typical dishes and helps you explore local kitchens and truk’i pan food trucks.

What should you check before choosing a restaurant?

Check the menu for the meal you want to book, since lunch and dinner can differ. When comparing prices, include drinks, sides and any charges stated on the menu. Consider travel time and parking, and leave some room between a tour and your reservation. For a celebration or group dinner, discuss seating and any menu arrangements directly with the restaurant. Mention dietary requirements when reserving.

Looking for coffee, pastries or a shorter stop?

For an espresso, coffee with cake or something to take away, our coffee and bakery guide is a more useful starting point. Some cafés also offer breakfast and brunch. Choose according to how much you want to eat and how long you want to stay, rather than assuming every café or restaurant offers the same meals.

Questions

Can I reserve a restaurant table through Dushi Guides?

We do not take restaurant reservations. Reserve directly with the restaurant using its own booking method, and make sure you receive confirmation of the date, time and number of guests.

Should I reserve a table in advance?

For a specific restaurant, a celebration or a group, reserving in advance is sensible. Check the restaurant’s policy: some places accept reservations, while others work with walk-ins. A request for a particular table is only confirmed when the restaurant agrees to it.

Can I also visit these restaurants for lunch?

Some serve both lunch and dinner, including Gouverneur de Rouville. Others focus on a particular mealtime. Check the lunch days and kitchen hours of your chosen restaurant rather than relying only on its general opening hours.

Can I reserve a restaurant through Dushi Guides?

We do not take restaurant reservations. Book directly with the restaurant and wait for its confirmation. Mention your group size, dietary requirements and any seating preferences when reserving.

Which restaurant should I choose with children?

Start with dishes your children will eat and a dining time that suits them. Ask about smaller portions, high chairs and any facilities you need. Check these details for the specific restaurant before booking.

Should I book ahead for a special occasion?

If you have a particular restaurant, date or table in mind, reserve ahead. Ask about any deposit, cancellation conditions and arrangements for your occasion. Have special requests confirmed directly.
