Which coffee stop?

A stop focused on coffee

Look at the coffee offering and choose a location that fits your route.

Coffee with a pastry

A bakery café lets you combine a drink with something sweet or savoury.

Taking something along

Choose a takeaway option and check the opening time before planning it into your morning.

Where can you go for coffee in Curaçao?

Van Gogh specialises in coffee and has an in-house roastery in Pietermaai. It is an option if you are interested in the coffee itself as well as a place to sit. Java Café, in Saliña Galleries, serves Dominican coffee and also has a breakfast and brunch menu. Decide whether you want a short coffee break or time for a meal, then compare the locations.

Where can you find pastries or something sweet?

Noça Bake Shop combines coffee with sweet and savoury baked goods. Nut House offers a different kind of stop, with nuts and snacks alongside its in-store coffee and juice bar. Choose according to what you feel like eating. If you are making a trip for a particular pastry or product, check whether it is available or can be ordered ahead.

Can you take coffee or food with you?

Noça offers takeaway, and Nut House also allows you to take your order away. Van Gogh has a drive-through in Pietermaai. These options can fit a morning on the move. Check the opening time of the specific location and allow time for your order before a tour or other appointment. For a relaxed break, look at the seating options instead.

Are these places also suitable for breakfast or brunch?

There is some overlap: Java Café offers breakfast and brunch as well as coffee. A pastry with a cappuccino is a different choice from sitting down for a full meal, so check the food menu rather than relying on the name of the café. If you are looking for a longer lunch or dinner, our restaurant overview gives you more options.

Questions

Is locally roasted coffee also grown in Curaçao?

Not necessarily. Roasting describes where the beans are processed, not where they are grown. The roastery at Van Gogh uses imported green coffee beans and roasts them in Curaçao.

Can you buy coffee beans to use at your accommodation?

Yes. Van Gogh’s roastery sells beans, and Nut House also lists coffee beans in its range. Check which coffee maker your accommodation has before buying beans or ground coffee.

Can I use this comparison to choose somewhere to work?

If you need Wi-Fi, a power socket or a table for several hours, ask the venue about these before visiting. Check whether laptop use is welcome at your preferred time.

What should I check if I need step-free access?

Ask the specific branch about the entrance, steps, seating and toilet access. If you are arriving by car, also check the distance between parking or the drop-off point and the entrance.
