Sint Willibrordus makes a useful stop between the main road and the southwestern beaches. The church gives the village a clear landmark; nearby Jan Kok adds salt-flat views and the possibility of seeing flamingos. Watch from established viewing spots and leave the birds undisturbed.

Continue to Daaibooi or Porto Mari for a separate beach visit. If you prefer an organised western beach day, the West Coast Beach Hopping Jeep Tour includes Daaibooi; the village and gallery are not advertised stops on that itinerary.

The present church was built between 1884 and 1888 and is the fourth church on this site. Its neo-Gothic design makes it an unusual landmark against the surrounding dry landscape.
