Zanzibar Beach & Restaurant is one of the places where Jan Thiel’s beach life carries on into the evening. Its East African-inspired setting gives the venue its identity, while the menu is international. Stone-oven pizzas and rotisserie chicken are among the house specialities.

Happy hour

Saturday at Zanzibar means drinks with your feet in the sand at Jan Thiel Beach. Happy hour runs from 17:00 to 18:00, with special prices on selected drinks and beer buckets. A DJ sets the mood, followed by a live band from 18:00, so the evening continues after the drinks offers end.

Want to settle in before the music gets going? Arrive before 17:00. Saturdays are walk-in only, with no reservations. Ask at the bar which drinks are included in happy hour.

Zanzibar works particularly well for groups whose ideal evening includes both food and music. The useful decision is when to go: choose the programme first, then decide whether your visit is about dinner, dancing or a little of both.
